Dr. Cabrera and our staff welcome patients who are visiting from out of town. We have worked with clientele from all over the globe. It is our mission to provide world-class service and do everything in our power to make your visit to Boca Raton enjoyable.

 

Working with Out-of-Town Patients

Step One: Email Your Requests and Photos

The first step in planning your surgery is to email your requests and photos to our practice. Please submit recent photos that look similar to the “before” shots in our Photo Gallery for your desired procedure. This usually includes a front-facing view, side view and slightly turned view. If you are seeking body contouring, we ask for a full view of your back and buttock. If you have questions about submitting your photographs, please contact our office and we would be happy to help you.

Step Two: Skype or FaceTime Consultation with Dr. Cabrera

Once your photos and requests have been received, we will contact you to schedule a Skype or FaceTime consultation (if you desire). Otherwise, we will email you Dr. Cabrera’s opinion, along with a price quote.

Step Three: Schedule Your Surgery

Next, we will schedule your surgery. Availability can vary, and at times, can run four to six weeks in advance.

Step Four: Review Pre-Op Package

After a surgery date has been reserved with a deposit, we will mail or email you a pre-op package, which includes pre- and post-operative instructions, a list of medications to avoid, consent forms to review, and additional instructions.

Step Five: Obtain Necessary Medical Clearances

You will then need to take care of any necessary medical clearances (which could include coordinating with your primary physician or having some pre-operative testing performed).

Step Six: Arrive in Boca Raton 1-2 Days Prior to Surgery

We ask that you arrive in Boca Raton at least one to two days prior to your procedure, so you can meet Dr. Cabrera and our staff in person and go over any last-minute details. At this appointment, we will take a full set of pictures, sign consent forms and review instructions with you. We will also provide any necessary prescriptions. Keep in mind that after examining you in person, Dr. Cabrera may decide to change the surgical plan or avoid surgery altogether. Though cancellations after the virtual consultations are rare, Dr. Cabrera’s highest priority is patient safety and patient satisfaction.

Step Seven: (Post-Op Stay) Remain in Boca Raton until Dr. Cabrera Clears You

After your surgery, you will need to allow sufficient time to recover before returning home. Dr. Cabrera requests that you remain in town for at least three days after your surgery (for TheSmarterLift™ procedure) and one to two weeks for various other procedures.
